Coming home!

Hey friends!

Okay so the good news is that in less then a week, I will be HOME!!!!!!!!!!! How great is that?¿?¿ Now the BAD news is that my legs are not really looking like maid of honor legs!!!!! :( I´m not sure what I´m gonna do BUT all the scabs are gone... so maybe I can put makeup on my legs?¿? I dunno but here is what they look like rigt now (pisture taken this morning)

So they kinda look better.... but the red spots...I just dunno what to do about them! Booboo on that!

But the worm in my arm... well its GONE! Like magic... turns out it wasn´t a worm...it was just a tumr thing growing under my arm. And I guess the antibiotics got rid of it! :) YAY ME!

Lets see what else?¿? Hey did you know that I will be home in less than a week?¿?¿? I think thats all I can think about these days... BEING HOME! I´m so excited! Its gonna be the best wedding EVER, and I have the best date EVER...I actually think we are the most beautiful couple... seriously!Pretty sure we´re gonna make everybody around us jealous I mean.. I´m beautiful and he´s beautiful... its just not fair really! :)

Haha, I am BACK from the jungle guys!!! WOOWOO! How excited are you guys????? Im pretty excited!!! Xept for the fact that I have leprosy!!!! I´m trying so hard to get a pic of my legs right now but this ghetto comp wont let me upload the pic!!! DANG IT! Its pretty yuck so you might not WANT to see the pic!! You know Job in the Bible??? Ever pictyure his blistering sores all over his body... well I´ve pictures them and what I pictured in my head... kinbda looks like what my legs look like... no joke! But its okay coz I am on a antibiotic which will cure me FOREVER!!!!! haha.... I also have a minor tumor growing under my arm.. it might be a worm, it might be a sist- we dunno but right now I´m treating it as a worm, so I got a bandaid on with Tabaco on it to kill the worm... once the worm is killed, I get to squeeze it out of my arm! Pretty yuck eh? But maybe its not a worm... maybe its a sist or a boil or something which will have to be treated in some other way!

Anyways so thats what happens in the jungle... you get leprosy and things growing inside of you! LOL... but no worries people, I am a FINE! I´m not dying... the sores on my legs hurt a little but its really not a big deal! My trip was GREAT! I had fun... It wasn´t easy let me tell you, but it was great to be able to just hang out with the women there and work with them... and have them laugh at you coz you can´t do anything right! The Yaminahua people are incredibly awesome, and I´m SO excited about working with them some more! The family I stayed with is probably the best family in the village!!!!! Overall a GREAT trip!

As for noiw... I´m chillin´in the city, trying to heal and waiting until August when I get to GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!! YAY Im so excited! I get to go home for one week and its gonna be crazy I know it!

HEY FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aight punks... I gotta give you all some bad news! This is most probably my last entry for a while. The good news is that I am going back to the jungle!!!!! YAY! That is exciting because I gotta say I don´t know how much more I can take of this city!

We did recently go to Lima, we got back yesturday and I must say it was fun. It was good to have a little change of pace you know... get out of Pucallpa. But Lima does get expenssive so I´m glad we left when we did! But we are all officially legal now! We´re not residents yet but we are legal because our visas are no longer expired :) So I got another stamp in my passport because we have to cross over to Chile in order to renew our visas! We were only there for a day but it was fun.... we hung around Tacna for a while, its a pretty place! So when you´re in Tacna... there´s not much to do, so I took pictures of the prettyness of the city...

Thats all I got for now, but on another note... I´m excited about heading out to the Yaminahua. Bobby, LJ and Ephraim will be coming back into town as we are going in... they say that the women are expecting us and excited about us coming!!!! So that makes me happy! Me and Amanda are buying some last minute things before we go and then its all over!

Its gonna go by SO fast! Before I know it... I´m gonna be back home getting ready for the wedding! Which is a party you don´t wanna miss people!!!!! :) I must say that during my two months away... I would like for you guys to keep xanga alive! I got a letter from my best friend Hannah the other day and she said *thanks for bringging xanga back, it was always my favorite* and yes Hannah... I agree! I´m sorry I can´t keep it alive for the 2 months I´m gone BUT... I trust that you guys will...

 HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO PEOPLE!!!!!

Mais oui, its CINCO DE MAYO mes amis! MAIS le plus important c´est que c´est la fete d´un certain quelqu´un!!!! And he gets a special SHOUT OUT... on sais c´est qui?¿?¿? Mais oui... c´est le petit Gabriel Gagnon!!! On l´aime beaucoup le petit Gabriel donc he gets a whole post dedicated to him! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GABY!!!! Je suis presque sur qu´il check jamais mon xanga BUT c´est ben correct c´est ben correct!! :)  He is still my date for the wedding and that means he gets a whole post for his birthday! haha

Donc quoi de neuf avec moi?¿? Guys it makes me sad when I hear stuff like *I went to see Tom´s show the other day* I WANT TO SEE TOM´S SHOW!!!!! First of all... JON RASH is in that band now and that is just insane because, what the heck?¿? JON RASH... seriously, in a hardcore band?¿? What has the world come to?¿? Nobody knows but I really wanna see them play! In fact... I wanna see anybody play really! I miss going to shows! and seing everybody all dressed up for them... and then I would actually dress up for them too! Because you´re bnot hardcore, unless you live hardcore!!!! The week that I am home in August... I´ve told myself I must go see a show! It is a MUST and it WILL happen!!!! Now I must find a show to see between aug5th and 11th! Its possible, I know it!

Anyways so how bout that life in Peru of mine?¿? I know you guys are just dying to hear of my most excellent weekend of doing nothing! haha... Just kidding we do stuff, kinda! There´s been a lot of social events guys and you would be so proud of me for actually participating in them!!! The xtreme team really likes to hang out all teh time!  Which is fine but you guys know how anti social I get! haha... But c´est ben correct c´est ben correct, je suis rendu foule pro! Parce que mon *patron* (y´est pas vraiment mon patron mais bon)... entouka son nom est Joe... pis je sais pas trop pourquoi il me taquine TOUT LE TEMPS!!!! A cause que je suis Canadienne! Mais d je sais pourquoi... you know *on taquine ceux qu´on aime* Pis genre... I´m the favorite fait que c´est pour ca qu´il arrete pas de me taquiner!  Je comprend tout maintenant! Mais bon... the point is, ben je sais pas trop c´est quoi le point!

However, I did make that movie of that fun night in Pucallpa with the dancing and the swimming in teh pond... but I cant really post it on the net, its not really imb approved so I´m just gonna send it to whoever wants it by email! What else guys?

I shoudl be going to Lima anytime soon to get my residency... I have a feeling that is never gonna happen!!! Thats ghetto coz I need residency before I go on my trip to the Yaminahua!!! But s´all good, things will work out I guess... I think... I hope?

Apart from that... Life is great, lets celebrate!!! I did go on the fairest wheel again coz its just THAT much fun!!! haha

Oh guys...

I am in such a great mood right now!!! Just like Amanda... you wanna know why??? I just had the greatest weekend, and its the end of another month, and life is just great so lets celebrate!!!

Aight so it all started on Friday when Linzi, Katie and myself decided we were gonna leave the house at 9am and not come back till in was dark! Because you see what usually happens is that we go into town and spend like 1hour there until we realise we have nothing to do.. Anyways so we left and did a bunch of fun stuff like walk around... buy movies...went for ice cream! All this to say it was a great day!

Then SATURDAY was even better because we went into town to check email... and then me and Linzi decided to go to the ice cream shop to read and study our stories (we´re still learning spanish stories) But then Stephen comes a disturbs our reading session and sits down at our table and starts talking... well it turned out to be great because before we knew it ... it was night time! And do you knwo what that means??? THE FAIR GROUND WAS OPEN!!!!! So Linzi, Stephen and myself went out on the little fairest wheel that cost us 2 soles each (under 1$) and we had the time of our life!!!! Stephen was getting a little sick... maybe it had to do with me spining the wheel so much! And the fun does not stop there my friends... Linzi and myself decided to spend a sole on a slot machine! And we couldn´t really figure out how to work it.... but SOMEHOW, we ended up winning 5 soles!!! But shhhh, this is classified missionary information! Gambling is bad! :) And that was my Saturday!

Then Sunday was good coz Sundays are always good... we have house church and Yaminahua church AND Spanish church... so I feel real tight with God! :) Of course Monday was back to our normal schedule of having class and stuff liek that!

But then yesturday... at midnight... we decided we needed to do something fun! So we dressed up in black and made a video... its coming to a xanga near you, I just need to make it and its kinda hard to do that when you dont have a computer!!!! But no worries ppl... I have my ways!!! :) We also decided it would be fun to throw Nadia in the pond... the GROSS DISGUSTING POND!!!!!! I dunno why I´m always the one that ends up in these situations!!! But Linzi threw me in there and then decided to join me! It was really gross guys... and it STUNK! But it was the funnest night I´ve done in Pucallpa so far!!!!!

 We also watched the movie *21* which was SO good!!!! I really enjoyed it!!!! AAANNNDD it had my favorite Jim Sturgess (Accross the Universe guy) with an American accent!!! Oh what a cutey!

Anyways that was my great weekend!

I´m still ready to go back to the jungle tho...

may 27th... yay me!!!! :)

Sorry I have no pics this time... I´m on a ghetto WINDOWS 98 (who has that anymore) and it won´t read my hard drive!!! :(
